It’s a relaxed, feel-good evening of group singing, food, drink and connection in a village pub. We warm up together, learn a song (in harmony if you fancy it), eat a delicious supper, then enjoy a big group sing-along led by a live local musician. No pressure, no performing — just singing for the joy of it. ​ Do I need to be able to sing? Absolutely not. This is for everyone. If you enjoy music, singing in the car, or humming along to the radio — you’re perfect for this. ​ Is it a choir? Nope. There’s no commitment, no weekly rehearsals, no pressure to “sound good”. Just turn up, sing, eat, laugh, repeat. Is it karaoke or an open mic? Definitely not. No solo singing, no being put on the spot, no microphones being thrust into your hand. We sing together as a group. ​ Will I have to sing on my own? Never. Everything is group singing. Always. ​ What happens during the evening? 6:30pm – Doors open, grab a drink, get settled 7:00–8:00pm – Vocal warm-ups + learning a song together (with optional harmony) 8:00pm – Supper is served (a delicious sharing platter from The Chequers’ chef) 8:30–10:00pm – Group sing-along led by a live local singer/musician, with songs chosen from the group’s suggestions What kind of songs will we sing? Songs you know and love. When you book, you’ll suggest a song within the evening’s theme. On the night, songs are drawn from the hat — simple, fun, and familiar. Do I need to read music? Nope. No sheet music, no theory, no stress. What’s included in the ticket price? The full group singing experience Vocal warm-ups and song teaching Live musician-led sing-along A generous shared supper platter (Drinks are purchased separately from the bar.)
