Kick off the holidays with beloved vocal carols and stories brought to you by Tuesday Musical in Akron. Happening on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, this bus trip will be a perfect start to the holiday season!
Hop on the bus at Buehler’s River Styx in Medina, OH, at 1:00 pm and arrive in Akron at 1:30 for a visit to the Zeber-Martell Gallery. Enjoy Christmas cookies and be serenaded by classical guitar while you view the lovely ceramics and many other art objects in the gallery. Take a trip upstairs and enjoy a photo gallery along with another local jewelry maker.
At 2:15 p.m. we’ll get back on the bus for the short trip to EJ Thomas Hall for a 3:00 p.m. matinee concert performed by Cantus. Blending narration and song, the acclaimed vocal ensemble presents The Velveteen Rabbit and The Polar Express, alongside an abridged romp through The Nutcracker and other time-honored carols and new classics. Tuesday Musical provides free student tickets, so you can bring your kids or grandkids along at a reduced price!
