Join the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program for Watershed Explorers, a new series for youth between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. In these 6 free programs, we will be covering a different aspect of our local watershed, from the creatures that call it home, to water quality, native plants and more! Participants will earn a different badge for attending each program and will win a prize for collecting all 6. These programs are made possible in part thanks to the Land Stewardship Centre of Canada.
The second session in this series is all about Wetland Creatures in Winter and will take place Sunday, December 7th, from 2-3pm in Kin Coulee Park. On this guided walk, we will take a closer look at the animals that live in and near creeks, ponds and rivers and what they are doing during the coldest months of the year. Registration is required for this free program as space is limited. Youths must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather. To register, call or come down to the Nature Centre.
Tickets for Wetland Creatures in Winter can be booked here.
