About the event

Saint Patrick’s Party
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Esplanade with East Coast charm! Live music, Celtic flair, kitchen-party vibes, and plenty of cheer - Cape Breton style.

Pretty Archie
Don’t miss your chance to experience Pretty Archie - the East Coast’s most dynamic live act! Known for their high-energy shows, heartfelt songwriting, and one-of-a-kind blend of Country, Folk, Bluegrass, and Americana, this Cape Breton-based band delivers a performance that’s as raw and real as the region they call home.

Formed in 2012 by longtime friends Brian Cathcart, Matt McNeil, Colin Gillis, Redmond MacDougall, and Scott MacLean, Pretty Archie has become a beloved fixture in Canada’s music scene, racking up nominations from Music Nova Scotia and the East Coast Music Awards - and winning over fans coast to coast.

Their latest and self-titled album, Pretty Archie, produced by Grammy-nominated Mark Howard (Bob Dylan, U2, The Tragically Hip), is a breakthrough moment. Captured mostly live off the floor, it showcases their signature sound at its most focused and electrifying - anchored in East Coast soul but made for stages around the world.

Expect foot-stomping crowd favorites like “Familiar Feeling” and “Reasons,” emotional depth in ballads like “Feel It In My Bones,” and powerful moments like their duet “Someone New,” featuring Austin’s Whitney Rose. And don’t miss “Maritime” - an anthem for anyone who’s ever felt pride in where they’re from.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or seeing them for the first time, a Pretty Archie show is more than a concert - it’s a celebration. Genuine, energetic, and full of heart, they leave audiences with memories that last long after the final note.

Rob Cook
Hailing from Chapel Arm, Newfoundland, and beloved local performer, Rob Cook is a powerhouse multi-instrumentalist known for delivering high-energy, crowd-pleasing performances rooted in Irish and Newfoundland music—with a twist! Whether it’s a fiery fiddle reel, a heartfelt ballad, or a bluesy groove, Rob’s talent crosses genres with ease and passion.

A seasoned performer, Rob has toured stages across Canada and the U.S. with acclaimed groups like Fair Haven and Fidello, earning a loyal following for his musical versatility and electrifying stage presence.

In addition to his solo shows, Rob brings his musical chops to a variety of projects. He is the bassist and vocalist for rising country act Rent to Own, the drummer for the hard-hitting blues band Desperate Measures, and a core member of the beloved Newfoundland ensemble Mahoney and Friends

From toe-tapping trad to foot-stomping country and everything in between, Rob Cook brings a little East Coast magic to every stage he steps on.
