- **Event Description**: Explore our 171 acres of preserved pinelands in search of fungi and other flora of the Pine Barrens with local forager Nicholas Shankin (@suburban_forager). Along the way, you’ll learn how to find fungi on the trail and best practices for foraging safely. This tour will begin in Cedar Run's Wildlife Housing Area, where participants will meet Cedar Run's resident wildlife before hitting the trail in search of mushrooms!

This family-friendly event is perfect for adventurers aged 8 and up who are eager to explore and learn more about mushrooms and edible plants. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and a sense of wonder!

This program begins at 9:00am and runs 1hr+ depending on our findings, not to exceed 90 minutes. Ages 8+ please. $25/person. 20 participants maximum. Advanced registration required.
