*  What is a White Elephant Gift Exchange?  

A White Elephant gift exchange (also called a Yankee Swap or Dirty Santa) is a fun, lighthearted gift exchange game often played at holiday gatherings, parties, or club events. ?

Here’s how it typically works:

Everyone brings a wrapped gift — usually something inexpensive, funny, or quirky.

Gifts are placed together, and participants draw numbers to determine the order of choosing.

The first person picks a gift and opens it.

The next person can either choose a new wrapped gift or “steal” an already opened one.

If your gift gets stolen, you pick another unopened one.

The game continues until everyone has had a turn — often with a limit on how many times a gift can be stolen (usually two or three times).

It’s all about fun, laughter, and a bit of playful competition — not the actual value of the gifts.
