This two-hour workshop by the Boston Trainers Collective (BTC) is designed to promote collective resilience and community safety. Participants will be taught a framework for cultivating readiness and resilience as a foundation for long-term resistance, personal and collective care, and preparedness for the wide range of other challenges that may lie ahead such as climate-related crises, social unrest, and economic volatility. Participants will leave with concrete steps that can be taken immediately to start building readiness and resilience as individuals, organizations, and communities.
Founded by Rebecca Riccio, the BTC is s a group of volunteer activists and organizers associated with a variety of racial and social justice-oriented organizations in Greater Boston.
Bring a friend or two. It's a great workshop, even for those not involved in a movement.
Please contribute $10 via cash or Venmo when you arrive. This is to cover expenses - pizza, refreshments and a small thank you gift for trainers, etc.
Parking: there is a small (and regularly full) lot behind the library. Metered parking can be found along High Street and the perpendicular streets. There is also a public lot located one block away at 11 Governors Ave (Behind Colleen’s Ice Cream)
