In this hands-on workshop, you will create your own miniature carnivorous plant habitat centered around two Pinguicula butterworts, affectionately known as “pings.”

Pings are small but fascinating plants with rosette-shaped leaves that catch tiny insects using a naturally sticky surface. They are equal parts beautiful, unusual and slightly strange in the best possible way.

You will choose a teacup or glass container, build your Pingdom using the appropriate growing medium, and bring your miniature landscape to life with moss, decorative stones and tiny 3D-printed accessories.

Each participant will receive:
Two live Pinguicula butterworts
A choice of teacup or glass container
The appropriate growing medium and substrate
Moss and decorative rocks
A selection of miniature 3D-printed decorations
A printed care guide to take home

We will also talk through how to care for your pings, including watering, lighting and the simple habits that will help your miniature carnivorous world thrive.

No gardening experience is needed. This workshop is designed for beginners, plant lovers and anyone who has ever wanted to build a tiny magical world of their own.

You will leave with a completed Pingdom, two fascinating new plant friends and a little piece of magic to bring home.
