Fishing is Fun at Highland Lake!

The Fishing is Fun fishing clinic is back at Highland Lake! The free clinic is scheduled for 8 a.m. on June 7 at Lorin Mead Park at Highland Lake. The first 75 guests who participate in the three-session clinic will receive a free fishing pole!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife invites resident and nonresident anglers of all ages to participate in its annual Free Fishing Weekend on June 7 to 8. The free fishing weekend is a great w​ay to get outside with family and friends and take advantage of Colorado's extensive opportunities to fish for a myriad of cold and warm water fish species​​. Although a license not required on Free Fishing Weekend, all other rules and regulations will apply. Colorado law requires that anyone over the age of 16 must have a valid fishing license to fish on all other days of the year

Schedule:

Fishing Clinic: Sessions will run every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Event Fishing: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Food & Beverages: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

**Parking is available at Highland Lake. Please do not park on the shoulder of the road or on private driveways.
