This one-day class takes your existing handgun skills and combines them with visual processing and decision making to solve a variety of Don't Shoot/Shoot problems. You will be exposed to a variety of targets and stimulus.
ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Experience with your pistol-mounted optic, including acquiring your sights, delivering an accurate hit under time constraints, and accuracy sufficient to shoot Dyal’s 5 Yard Round-Up clean with a 4-second par time for each stage.
Additionally, the completion of a defensive handgun class that includes holster work/reloads/stoppages, as well as an understanding of how to practically apply the 4 Safety Rules, specifically Rule #3, without endangering a neighboring shooter.
TOPICS COVERED
After a classroom discussion on human factors and a warm-up, the class will begin working through a variety of drills to cover the subject matter. These will include:
increasing breadth and depth of vision;
visual attention;
response to stimulus;
cognitive load;
EXPECTATIONS AND OUTCOMES
By the day’s end, you will have applied your decision-making and shooting skills to solving Don't Shoot/Shoot problems while managing the impact of perception and visual processing. Your skills in accuracy, manipulation, and mechanics will be incorporated into each iteration.

Note-taking material
Eye and ear protection
A reliable mid- or full-size pistol with or w/out optics (loaners MAY be available with enough notice)
Appropriate holster, mag pouches, and belt;
3 plus magazines
Ten (10) quality dummy rounds for your handgun, caliber appropriate
If using optics, an extra battery and the tool to adjust, change it
Please bring your lunch, Scooby snacks, caffeine, and—of course—water. We will break, but the less time we devote to lunch, the more time we can spend with your mind and pistol.

Ammunition: 250 rounds of reliable pistol ammunition
