Australia, prepare for impact — American technical death metal legends ORIGIN are returning to obliterate stages across the country for the first time in over a decade.

Being hailed as one of the most ferociously technical and forward-thinking bands in extreme metal; ORIGIN Return to Australia in June 2026 to obliterate stages in the cities of Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Frankston, Melbourne and Sydney 

Known for their dizzying speed, razor-sharp precision, and cosmic brutality, the band achieved a major breakthrough with 2008’s Antithesis, which hit #21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.

June 2026, they make their long-overdue return to Australian shores — headlining Sydney Dethfest alongside gore metal legends EXHUMED, followed by their own nationwide headline tour including another double headline show together with Exhumed in Canberra.

Over the span of eight studio albums and a trailblazing EP, ORIGIN has carved their legacy with a sound that blends technical extremity, old-school brutality, and forward-thinking composition — influencing an entire generation of death metal bands.

SNAKE MOUNTAIN – SHORT BIO

Formed in 2015 and inspired by ’80s and ’90s cartoons, action films, and dark pop culture, Snake Mountain has evolved into a powerhouse of Melodic Technical Death Metal. 

After refining their sound in 2022, the band released “Veins” in 2023 and their debut EP Villainous 1: Reverence in 2024, featuring the crushing single “Everliving.” They’ve since earned national and international airplay with “The Revenant,” performed at major festivals like Good Things, and supported heavyweights such as Testament, Alestorm, Nekrogoblikon, Marty Friedman, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Wolfheart. 

A staple of the South East Queensland heavy scene, Snake Mountain continues to push their intense, high-energy sound with new music and a 2025 tour that includes Blacken Open Air and international supports for Gutslit (India) and Gutalax (Czech Republic).
