On Thursday, April 23rd, the remains of an animal were discovered in a burn barrel located near the park, in the parking lot of a church in Henry County, GA.
Initially, a single leg from an unidentified animal was found resting on top of the trash.
Upon closer inspection, a black trash bag was located inside the barrel, containing additional remains along with an intact red collar with an AirTag attached.
Multiple bones (each in varying stages of decomposition) were also present inside the barrel.
The trash bag appeared to have several tears, though it is unclear whether they were caused by an animal trying to get into the bag or something attempting to get out.
