- **Event Description**: Saturday, November 8, 2025: Heartland Saddle Club McCook Arena Fun-day/Annual Meeting/Tack Swap. 
Plan on saddling up by 9:00am CT at the heated Alice arena (west arena) in McCook at the Red Willow Fairgrounds for a day of fun and games and open riding. Cost is free for club members, but we welcome new members at any ride and membership renewal now will be in effect through 2026! 

The morning will consist of warm-up time, barrels and poles or trail obstacles. Members are asked to bring an assortment of challenging trail obstacles for others to enjoy, be creative and let’s see if we can come up with for some great ideas for a trail course.


Noon will be a pizza lunch with a $7 per person cost, collected at sign-up time. Any snacks or desserts are accepted and welcome, table service provided. We will also hold our annual meeting, prior to afternoon riding. Election of officers will be a priority, since we have several offices to fill this fall for next year. Terms are 1-3 years, with 3 years as a maximum term. Please help us out in that department if you are able, current officers may be contacted in advance for those interested in holding a position, or let us know that day.


We will plan for a tack swap as well so bring what you have to swap or sell. Please be sure it is marked with your name and a price. 


Afternoon will consist mainly of fun and games and open riding. We may try a game of polo with the big horse ball, just for fun. Bring ideas for anything you think the club members will enjoy!
