Lorenzo Thompson is a Chicago blues and soul singer. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, up to Chicago as a kid, first voice lessons courtesy of a church choir. Since then he's sung alongside Willie Kent, Pinetop Perkins, Melvin Taylor, Lurrie Bell, Hubert Sumlin, Son Seals and Koko Taylor, played the Chicago Blues Festival, and carried hundreds of shows across Europe and South America. He's also one of the players who came up around Little Mack Simmons — the same Chicago harp man who pulled Paul down to Rosa's Lounge on Thursday nights twenty-some years ago. Two ends of the same thread, on one patio in Monona.
