Data centers have been a hot topic around rural communities in both NC and VA over the past few years. While their main purpose is to expand AI infrastructure into the future, what do these facilities mean to rural towns like ours in the present?

This informal gathering will provide the good, bad, and ugly- all the info you need to be well informed.

“WhiteFiber Inc., the AI division of Bit Digital, has officially acquired a 96-acre, approximately 1 million-square-foot former industrial site in Madison, North Carolina. The company plans to retrofit the property into a state-of-the-art high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) data center campus.”
