Adultish 101: March LifeSkills Series
Growing up comes with new responsibilities — but many of the skills we need for everyday life aren’t always taught in the classroom. Adultish 101 is designed to help students build confidence, independence, and practical knowledge through interactive, hands-on sessions.
Join us each Monday in March at 3:30 PM for the following workshops:
🔧 March 2 – Car Maintenance
📍 Graves County Public Library (GCPL)
Learn basic vehicle care including understanding dashboard warning lights, checking fluids, tire safety, and simple preventative maintenance that can save money and reduce stress.
⛑ March 9 – First Aid Basics
📍 Graves County Public Library (GCPL)
Gain essential safety knowledge such as how to respond to common injuries, when to seek help, and basic first aid awareness to increase preparedness in everyday situations.
💼 March 16 – Career Skills
📍 Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce (MGC COC)
Develop workforce readiness skills including communication, professionalism, interviewing tips, resume basics, and how to make a strong first impression.
🍳 March 23 – Cooking Skills
📍 Graves County Extension Office (GCEO)
Explore kitchen safety, simple meal preparation, nutrition awareness, and practical cooking techniques to support healthy, independent living.
💵 March 30 – Money Management
📍 CFSB
Understand financial basics such as budgeting, saving, smart spending, and how to develop healthy money habits early.
Learn practical, everyday skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
