- **Event Description**: The Ecclesbourne Valley Railway is delighted to announce a special Model Show & Miniature Railway event at Wirksworth Station this May, bringing together an exciting range of model displays, hobby demonstrations and miniature railway attractions.

This special event is being held to raise funds for the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway Station Appeal, supporting the continued restoration and development of the historic station building at Wirksworth.

Visitors will be able to enjoy:

? Model railway layouts in a variety of scales
? Remote control models
⚔️ War gaming demonstrations
?️ Slot car racing displays
? Miniature traction engines
?️ Hobby displays and modelling demonstrations
✨ And plenty more throughout the station site

The miniature railway will also be operating with a full steam service during the event, offering visitors the chance to enjoy a traditional miniature train ride and adding even more atmosphere to the day.

Why not combine your visit with a trip on Derbyshire’s longest heritage railway? Full timetable services between Wirksworth and Duffield will also be operating throughout the event.
