- **Event Description**: IT’S TIME TO GET YOUR JINGLE PAWS ON! ??The Mathews County Pet Parade group is excited to strut our paws and claws for a cause and we need YOU and YOUR PETS!! Well-behaved leashed pets - equine, farm and domestic – all are welcome!! The parade theme this year is “JINGLE ON THE BAY.”  Decorate your pets ( and yourself too ! ) in Jingling, Nautical, and or Holiday theme. Bring your SMILES, CHEER, and WAVING ARMS to the crowd!! 

Be Creative! The crowd loves us! You may decorate wagons, carts, strollers, or golf carts. You can pull, stroll, or ride!  Don’t forget to decorate your items and your pets!! Rescue and Animal groups may identify with banners, signs or tshirts.

No fee or sign up, just show up and walk with us!  2 Volunteers needed to walk and hold the banner.

When: Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025

Group arrival time: No later than 12:30– we will take a group photo (emailed to you) and organize placements for the various pets. Look for the Mathews County Pet Parade Banner and walk over to us.

Parade start time: 1:00-2:00pm

Where:  start at Thomas Hunter Middle School, located on Church Street, end at Chesapeake Bank on Buckley Hall Rd.

Who we are: We are a group in the Mathews Christmas Parade.  We walk down Church Street, Main Street, Buckley Hall, and will end at Chesapeake Bank.  (You will either need to walk back to Church Street or coordinate a pick up at the conclusion of the parade.) 

The Pet Parade walks with a mission! To bring awareness and support our local rescue and adoption organizations in our community.
