With a sharp wit and a badge of honor, Jim Perry, widely known as “The Cop Comic,” has taken the national comedy scene by storm. From comedy clubs and casinos to corporate galas and private events, Jim’s unique blend of humor—rooted in real-life experiences—has captivated audiences across the country. A trusted headliner and respected voice in the comedy world, Jim brings not just laughs, but authenticity to the stage.

Before stepping into the spotlight, Jim proudly served as a Police Officer, taking on roles such as Law Enforcement Trainer, DARE Officer, Media Relations Officer, and Crime Prevention Officer. He was even named “Officer of the Year” in 2004 and served as Regional President of the Crime Prevention Association. Beyond the badge, Jim is a Military Veteran who served in the Persian Gulf, and holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education, which helps him connect deeply with audiences through storytelling and relatable humor.

Jim’s professional journey extends into the corporate, security, and entertainment industries, where he’s held leadership roles as a Manager, Business Owner, and Adult Safety Facilitator. With over two decades of experience in high-stakes environments, Jim brings a unique perspective to his comedy—infusing heartfelt stories, sharp punchlines, and genuine insights about life behind the uniform.

Despite witnessing tragedy throughout his 20+ year career in law enforcement, the military, and private security, Jim has chosen laughter as his mission. His goal? To bridge the gap between the public and those who serve, reminding us all that cops and soldiers are human, too—with stories, struggles, and a sense of humor.

Jim’s talent has landed him roles in film, television, and radio, and his award-winning work spans screenplays, live performances, and more. A passionate community advocate, Jim volunteers, teaches, and hosts programs for both children and adults.
