There’s more… Kogar the Swinging Ape presents his essay titled; "Sparks, or: The Squares Don’t Know but the Little Ghouls Understand" which details what “sparked” The Cramps and possibly a cultural revolution. Learn about radio DJ Pete “Mad Daddy” Myers as well as horror host, Ghoulardi and their influence on the band and others! Just what the heck is in the water in Northeast Ohio anyway? And just who ARE these people?! Kogar the Swinging Ape is a collector, disc jockey, compiler, blogger, sometime musician and full time Cramps fiend. He has DJ’d live in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Tokyo and beyond. He is the compiler of Lux and Ivy’s Favorites, a series of compilations featuring songs Lux and Ivy mentioned over the years in various interviews. Along with his wife, he runs the charitable organization Lux Lives East Coast that holds yearly events to celebrate the life of Lux Interior and have raised almost 50,000 dollars for Best Friends Animal Society in Lux’s name. He currently hosts Kogar’s Jungle Juice, a show that specializes in music from the 50’s and 60’s for Boss Radio 66. Eric Davidson grew up in Parma, OH, then moved to Columbus, where he fronted the punk band New Bomb Turks.
