They are set in locales as diverse as the Midwest, Scotland, Denmark, Ireland, Provence and the Czech Republic. ## About Sherrie Thirty odd years ago, Sherrie rescued a dilapidated Victorian house in northern Iowa from the bulldozer’s grips and turned it into a bed and breakfast and tea house, the Blue Belle Inn. Owning and operating the B&B, writing and directing the Blue Belle’s famous murder mysteries, and cooking up a storm have been the defining elements of her life until this summer, when Sherrie sold the Blue Belle Inn and began to reinvent her life… But first, a little backstory… Sherrie grew up on a farm in southern Minnesota and has lived in Wheaton, IL, Bar Harbor, Maine, Lawton, OK, Augsburg, Germany, and Colorado Springs, CO. After 12 years of writing romance novels, Sherrie met and married her real-life hero, Mark Decker. Until recently, Mark and Sherrie divided their time between a cottage in St. Ansgar, and the parsonage of Zion Lutheran Church, rural Hudson, Iowa, where Mark served as pastor. Their two houses were 85 miles apart, and Sherrie wrote on the run whenever she had a spare minute. After more than a decade of constantly being in transit, Sherrie and Mark have finally settled in just one house on a picturesque acreage in the country just 3 miles from Mark’s new church – Sion Lutheran in rural Lake Mills, IA – and one mile from a wildlife area on a lake that is part of Elk Creek Marsh. Now that Sherrie has more “free time”, she hopes to write even more books… and… (drum roll) has finally published the long-awaited Blue Belle Inn cookbook. She is also enjoying making music on the piano at the new church, with friends, and on her daily Facebook Live Prayer Time, photographing sunsets, decorating her new, old house, traveling to the far off corners of the world, and hosting tea parties for her great nieces and nephews.
