- **Event Description**: Our Thanksgiving FOR the Turkeys event is our largest fundraiser of the year. We celebrate the turkeys we have saved from being on a plate and allow them to live the rest of their natural lives in peace and love here at the Sanctuary. In addition to celebrating these magnificent beings, this event helps us to raise money to pay our feed bill for the winter. This is our 17th anniversary of holding this event. Every year, we are thrilled to welcome old friends back and new ones to the family.

We are excited to announce our Thanksgiving FOR the Turkeys menu! This delicious vegan meal is brought to you by our dedicated volunteer and amazing chef Matthew Wolf! The meal of shepherd’s pie, stuffing, green bean casserole, hot cider, and a non-alcoholic drink is included with your ticket. 

 We will also have the return of our yummy Sweets & Treats bake sale, with all vegan offerings from Wallflour, DIY Cookie Party, Bitchy Vegan Homo, Brezel Power, Community Grounds, Dough Mama Pie & Pastry, and 108 Delectable Delights!

After you tour our grounds, meet our beloved animals, take pictures, and ask questions, you can eat, participate in the Raffle, and buy some merchandise and browse the craft table. There will also be an activity book for kids (of all ages as we never discriminate) with a Sunrise Animal sticker for completion. 

The first 150 visitors who check in will get a commemorative wooden turkey ornament, donated by a generous supporter. 

We charge admission to this event to raise money for the Sanctuary, but instead of a fixed amount, we are letting you choose the admission price that is right for you by buying a virtual item the animals need and you will have the option to make an additional donation either online or at the event. One ticket is required per person.
