What began in 1976 as Marysville’s Bicentennial Flea Market has grown into one of the community’s signature weekends. Today, the Market fills the park with vendors, food, music and families celebrating Mother’s Day weekend together. Hours Saturday, May 9 | 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 10 | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. What You’ll Find Handmade crafts, antiques, collectibles, boutique items, jewelry, clothing, home décor, garden pieces, floral products, baked goods, gifts and more. Vendor space is full for the 50th year. Food Vendors Enjoy barbecue, pizza, cheesecakes, kettle corn, cotton candy, frozen treats, fresh drinks and other favorites throughout the park. Special Activities Shop and Win Saturday | 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday | 1 to 2:30 p.m. Every purchase earns tickets. The more booths you shop, the more chances you have to win. Three $75 Chamber Bucks winners will be drawn each day. Turn tickets in at the Information Booth. Winners announced Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Saturday Entertainment 11 a.m. – The String Beans Co-sponsored by Marysville Public Library, The String Beans bring a lively family show packed with music, laughter and audience participation. The Lincoln, Nebraska, group performs original songs about animals, cartoons, food, science, sports and other topics kids love. It is the kind of performance that gets children moving, singing and smiling. 1 p.m. – Mom and Me Look-Alike Contest Moms and children who share a strong resemblance are invited to enter the Mom and Me Look-Alike Contest. The winning mother will receive flowers, and the winning look-alike will receive a basket of Marysville goodies. Sunday Entertainment 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Live Circuit featuring Mike Wiegers Former Marysville resident Mike Wiegers returns to town with Live Circuit for an afternoon of familiar hits from the 1980s and 1990s. Wiegers, a 1978 graduate of Marysville High School, plays bass for the band, joined by Don Desmond on guitar and vocals, Pat Powell on vocals and Kent Conrad on drums. Expect recognizable songs that keep the park lively on Sunday afternoon. Family Fun All Weekend Register at the Information Booth for the Generations Contest. The family attending with the most generations represented will win a prize. Also enjoy kite flying, chalk art, a story walk, dinosaur dig, giant Jenga and more activities throughout the park.
