LDTR March Social Ride - Buxton!

Let's check out Buxton MTB Park!

This month we'll be taking our social ride to some trails we haven't visited as a group yet. We will meet at 8:45am for a 9:00am roll out from the Buxton MTB Park trailhead and parking: https://maps.app.goo.gl/9pVaYm6yjMc9Dq5M7

For anyone not familiar with the Buxton trail network, a higher level of skill and fitness is required compared to the trails at Lysterfield. The climbing and descending trails are longer and more technical than at Lysterfield, with not as much flat terrain so expect to be climbing lots. The descent trails have bigger features such as drops and jumps and big berms, so you will need to keep your wits about you! We will of course try to seek out the trails with the general skill level of the group in mind, and this will be a no drop ride so you can rest assured that you won't be left behind. You are also free to leave at any time if you have other commitments. If needed one of our ride leaders will be available to safely guide you out. This ride is open to everyone aged 18+.

Bring a packed lunch with you if you'd like to join us for a post-ride bite to eat under the shade of the trailhead shelter.

What you will need:

A mountain bike in good working order
An Australian safety standards approved helmet
Water, snacks, spare tube
Freshly applied sunscreen

There is no charge for this event but you MUST register.

All riders must have Aus Cycling insurance: https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership
