Built in 1861–62, the Tarnagulla Victoria Theatre – now the Public Hall – echoes with musical and theatrical heritage. Once a hotel and Cobb & Co depot, it hosted Lola Montez’s scandalous 1855 performance.
Today, it’s a vibrant venue for community events and the Tarnagulla Strictly Vintage Fair, alive with vintage tunes, high teas, and historic displays. It remains a stage for community celebration and artistic flair – perfect to host the Festival of Small Halls.

Festival of Small Halls rolls into Tarnagulla on Friday, 20 March 2026 with Irish Mythen (CAN/IRE) and Kaurna Cronin.

Tickets are priced at: Full Admission – $25
Concession Admission (Student, Pension, Healthcare) – $20
Child Admission (Aged 12 and Under – Must be accompanied by an adult) – FREE
