Participants will engage in interactive programming activities that reinforce mathematical concepts such as shapes, symmetry, patterns, transformations, and trigonometry. Cloud based Google Colab and Microsoft Jupyter Notebooks will provide compatibility for educators from either Google-based or Microsoft-based schools. Participants will explore loops, functions, and recursion to create engaging visual designs while developing computational thinking skills. Educators will leave with scaffolded lesson plans for grades 3-12, along with strategies to adapt activities for different learning levels. By integrating Turtle Graphics into their curriculum, teachers can foster creativity, problem-solving, and a deeper understanding of mathematical relationships and algorithmic thinking. This workshop aligns with Tennessee Computer Science Standards 3. AT.1-3, 3. PC.1-3, 4.AT.1-3, 4.DA.1-2, 4.PC.1, 5.DA.1-2, 5.PC.1-2, MS.AT.1-4, MS.PC.1,2,5,7, CS.AT.1, CS.DA.1, and CS.PC.1,4,5,6,7 as well as Mathematics Standards 3.G.A.1, 4.G.A.1-3, 5.G.B.3, 6.G.A.3, G.CO.D.11,12, G.SRT.A.1, G.SRT.C.4.
