Join your neighbors on Saturday, March 7th from 11 AM to 1 PM on W. Veterans Parkway in Marshfield, between Central Avenue and Chestnut. This is our opportunity to gather together for a peaceful protest, to show up and speak out against authoritarianism and against the injustices of ICE terrorizing individuals, families and communities.
Just a reminder of a few rules.
1. We are on public land, and we will act respectfully toward others who may be using the sidewalks as they walk by. So please be aware of people using the sidewalk and give them plenty of room to pass. If you have trouble standing, bring a chair.
2. Bring your own sign! We don't care if it is artistic or not, as long as there is no obscene or offensive language on it. A simple RESIST is sufficient.
3. Bring a US flag. We are patriots who support our country and its constitution.
3. We are a peaceful group. Please do not bring weapons of any kind. No violence or threatening behavior will be tolerated. If someone driving by makes an obscene gesture or response, we ask that you NOT respond in a like manner. A smile or thumbs up is a good response. Please do not engage with counter protesters. We commit to focusing on the bigger reasons we are all together. It is okay to ring a cowbell but do not use whistles to respond.
4. Plan for the weather. If it is sunny, wear sunscreen and wear a hat. If you bring something to drink, please make sure it is non-alcoholic. If severe weather is forecast (high winds, extreme cold etc.) we will NOT protest. Dress appropriately!
Please email us if you would like to be on our email list. This is important for growing our movement and so we can update you on future protests, adjustments on dates or time of day, or reasons that may cancel a protest date or create opportunity of necessity for us to gather.

We show up and gather together as an act of unity and commitment to our neighbors and to our future. Please reach out to your friends and invite them to show up as well! We look forward to seeing you!
Many thanks to Katie and Jose for their creative and collaborative efforts to help bring us all together!
