We are again proudly partnering with Marshalltown Park & Rec to bring you refreshing Saturday morning yoga. We think it's the perfect spot to start your weekend in Marshalltown and we want you to join us!Yoga in the Park will take place most every Saturday from May 9th through the end of August 29th from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in West End Park at the shelter and event green space in the 13th Street District! There will be a special time on Saturday, July 4th from 6:30-7:30am to additionally invite our runners to join us for a warm up and stretch before your race!In-person registration starts at 8:15 a.m. We want to thank Marshalltown Park & Rec for partnering with us in this beautiful evolving park and event space!Heidi, Hilary, and Taylor will take turns leading each 60-minute class through an intermediate to beginner-friendly practice sure to leave you feeling energized and enlivened! All three wonderful instructors are YogaFit Certified, are considerate of safety, and will provide modifications for many poses; helping guide you to find which one feels best for you in the moment.SCHEDULE OF EVENTS* 8:15-8:30 a.m. - Register in person in the park* 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. - Yoga led by a rotation of Heidi Draisey or Hilary Powell, Taylor Bear*See the dates for the instructor of the week belowLOCATION*13th Street District - West End Park, on the lawn in front of the shelter by the futsal courts. Park in the plaza by the Echo sculpture or at the park parking lot off 14th St. It is a Pedestrian-friendly area if you want to bring your bike or walk!220 N 13th St, Marshalltown, IA for GPS purposes.MORE DETAILS*There is no cost to participate; free-will gratuity is graciously accepted. Thank you!*Everyone will be required to agree to a waiver before participating. Registration starts at 8:15 a.m.*Please bring a Yoga Mat (or beach towel or just enjoy the grass beneath you); limited spare mats are available for use.*Please bring your own water, sweat towel, and optional strap or blocks, if you wish.*Open to ages 14 years+, ages 10-13 years can participate with a registered guardian.*Please do not bring younger children or pets. While yes there is a park right next to where we practice, we want to encourage you to allow this time to be for yourself as undistracted self-care ...as well as be mindful of our fellow class participants’ experiences.*We DO encourage you to bring your family and friends back to the park to enjoy any time after class!
