- **Event Description**: This show takes all the elements of the cult classic films The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 and combines them for one of the craziest, funniest, and bloodiest theatrical experiences of all time! Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to Ash and his trusty chainsaw to save the day! You don’t need to be a fan of horror to love this show. You don’t even need to be a fan of musicals to love this show. As long as you like having fun… this show is for you!  Is it scary?  No!  Is it gory?  No.  This is a pure comedy start to finish.    And with a combination of blood, jokes, cheesy effects, and really awesome musical numbers, Evil Dead The Musical is unlike any live show you’ve ever seen!  Silly, scary and bloody terrific!

AUDITIONS will be held Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026 beginning each night at 7:00 p.m. at the theatre. Performers will be asked to sing a short, appropriate song (either pop/rock/contemporary or musical theatre) and to read from the script with other auditioners. Please bring an accompaniment track or prepare to sing accapella. A blue-tooth speaker will be provided.

Rehearsals are held at the theatre Sunday thru Thursday evenings and a rehearsal schedule will be provided once casting is done and cast availability is taken into account.

A housewares employee who turns into a chainsaw-wielding hero

Cheryl (female, age: 18-22) Range: G3-Ab5
Ash’s dorky sister who turns into a brash, foul-mouthed demon

Annie (female, age: 24-29) Range: Ab3-C6
A brilliant archaeologist, also plays Shelly, a ditzy airhead.

Jake (male, age: 30-45) Range: G2-B4
A guy who they meet in the woods.

Linda (female, age: 18-22) Range: G3-E5
Ash’s perfect girlfriend who loses her head by the end of the show

Scott (male, age: 18-22) Range: C3-Bb4
Ash’s crude best friend. He’s an a**hole, but the kind of a**hole you love.

Ed (male, age: 24-29) Range: A2-G#4
Annie’s boyfriend who can’t get a word in, also plays Moose.
