Fresh off a sold-out performance at London’s iconic Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club during their debut UK/European tour, the 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐨 have rapidly become one of Australia’s most exciting instrumental acts. Hailing from Sydney, the group is an instrumental, cross-genre virtuoso powerhouse, blending modern jazz, funk, hip hop and rock into an unmistakably unique sound.
Guitarist 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 has risen to international acclaim within the global guitar community for his masterful playing and technical command, culminating in the release of his debut album Tides of Time earlier this year. He is joined by Australian National Jazz Award winners 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐬𝐨𝐧 and 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧, forming a trio defined by innovation, chemistry and musical agility.
Their compositions explore odd-time signatures, improvisation, sampling, and rich textural landscapes, drawing influence from artists such as Tigran Hamasyan, Pat Metheny, Allan Holdsworth and Robert Glasper.
Having studied, performed, and toured around the world, all members of the Josh Meader Trio are at the forefront of the Australian music scene. Their recent international success marks just the beginning of their global trajectory.
