Yoga, in this case, the physical practice of asanas (or poses), is just one method of moving meditation that aims to bridge the body and mind, promoting calmness, focus, body and spatial awareness, as well as improving your body’s mobility.
The aim of this workshop is to make yoga asanas accessible for YOUR body. Pick up a few tips and tools for awakening your body, nurturing it, and enriching its connection to breath and intention.
The first part of the workshop will focus on breaking down a handful of key yoga poses helpful to dancers, including the benefits of ideal alignment, and how to adjust these poses to suit YOUR yoga body.
The second part will lead you through a gentle yoga flow, with an emphasis on developing a graceful transition from one pose to the next.
Please bring a yoga mat and a large bath towel that can be rolled up for support. If it’s handy - a yoga block and a strap or stretchy band would be helpful too. A limited number of spare yoga blocks and straps will be available for borrowing during the workshop.

Farrah membership is open to all dancers (from Beyond Beginner level and up), regardless of experience or background - so long as you share the desire to enrich your knowledge and understanding of the dance!
