ELLY BLACKHAM is an up-&-coming saxophonist based in Melbourne. Her music stems from distinctly human emotions, experiences & love, with both her compositions & improvisations constantly in pursuit of this.  In July 2025 her quartet recorded her debut album 'Don't Push the River' which is set to be released in the coming year.

Elly has completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz & Improvisation) at the University of Melbourne & has performed at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival & the Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival, as well as with artists such as Andrea Keller, Sandy Evans & Barney McAll.

CHRISTOPHER ROZAKEAS is an emerging trombonist & composer from Melbourne, who specialises in traditional & contemporary jazz styles.  

Christopher has been refining his craft in the jazz idiom for over a decade, winning various accolades incl. being a recipient of the Geoffrey Whitelaw Monash Brass scholarship, & is a two-time James Morrison scholarship finalist.

Christopher has collaborated with local & international jazz luminaries including Vince Jones, Shannon Barnett, Kristin Berardi, Antonio Sanchez, Ingrid Jensen & Linda May Han Oh. He is currently studying jazz performance & biochemistry at Monash University.

Join Elly & Chris for a night of enthralling originals from both bandleaders, as well as select standard repertoire from a shared love of artists such as Dexter Gordon &  Slide Hampton.
