Collegiate Shag - Weekly Classes

Come and dance to some Thursday Jazz at our Collegiate Shag classes! Two hours of classes and a 30 minute DJ'd jazz social dance at The Wriggle Room, in Marrickville.

⏰ 8:00-8:30PM - Social dance with Thursday Jazz Djs
⏰ 8:30-9:30PM - Collegiate Shag - Foundations: beginners welcome

Collegiate Shag is an eye-catching dance known for its energetic, joyful and gliding style. This swing-era dance originates from the American South in the 1930's and 1940's where it was wildly popular among young college students, hence the name 'Collegiate' Shag.
