Their aim is that if they capture the island, Iran will become economically weak and the US troops will be able to build a permanent base here and conduct the rest of the activities. But the question is, will the US be able to capture the island at all? How prepared is Iran in terms of defense? 

The US military department, the Pentagon, has been sending troops to the Middle East step by step for a few days to capture Kharg Island and carry out a ground operation against Iran. Their special forces paratroopers have also arrived. According to various media reports, the US may conduct an initial operation with 5-10 thousand troops. On the other hand, Iran had previously stated that they have deployed 1 million troops to prevent any US operation. 

 Kharg Island is a small island of 9.5 square kilometers. Iran has prepared its highest defense system around the island. The S-300 imported from Russia and the Bavar-373 defense system built with Iran's own technology have been deployed on the mainland. With which, it will be able to detect and prevent US aircraft and missiles from afar. IRGC sailors are constantly patrolling the island with armed high-speed boats. 

If any US ship or boat moves towards the island by sea, the highly destructive Qadir missile has been deployed to repel them. Numerous suicide drones, including Shahed-136, have been kept ready. Which will provide maximum defense both by sea and air. In addition, Iran has buried anti-armor mines and anti-personnel mines around the island for at least 10-15 kilometers. Using this system, it has destroyed about 20 oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.  Because of which no one dares to send oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz now. IRGC and army members have prepared countless shoulder-fired rockets from underground bunkers. 

Above all, Iran has prepared its maximum defense. It will not be possible for the United States to capture the island with 5-10 thousand troops. Remember, the United States has not been able to capture the Strait of Hormuz so far.
