About the speaker: Sara Giles is a recently retired Park Ranger with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Her 27-year federal career spanned two countries, five states, and three National Wildlife Refuges, as well as service in the Peace Corps. Throughout her career, she led public programs, advanced habitat restoration efforts, and most recently helped design the new visitor center at Seney National Wildlife Refuge, which is currently under development. Since retiring in May 2025, Sara has continued to share her passion for art, nature, and science through community involvement, serving on her local school board, and volunteering in the schools. She lives in Gulliver and enjoys exploring the outdoors, raising her two children, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their dogs.
