Prairie Plains Resource Institute, with the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, is pleased to offer Nature's Impressions Printmaking workshop!
Cindy McClellen, local artist and friend of Prairie Plains, will be conducting a printmaking workshop that introduces participants to three different printmaking techniques: mono-printing, gel-printing plate printing, and linoleum block printing. This workshop will focus on creativity, hands-on experiences and community building.
Attendees will get to learn and create in the Charles L. Whitney Education Center at Gjerloff Prairie, with access to the rolling loess hills covered with tallgrass prairie as inspiration. All materials will be supplied.
This incredible opportunity will take place on Tuesdays August 19th & 26th and September 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd from 9am to Noon.
The culminating event will be the Prairie Plains Party on the Prairie on September 27, 2025. There will be a showing of the prints made in the workshop, live music, food and beautiful views of the prairie for attendees.
