❄️ Winter Olympics Office Viewing Party – Milan Cortina 2026 ❄️
The Winter Olympics are almost here and we’re bringing the Olympic spirit into the office!
While the Games officially kick off on Thursday 6th February, our resident Olympic superfan Brendan will be working that day and the office won’t be open – so we’re doing the next best thing and hosting a Winter Olympics Viewing Party on Monday the 9th, watching the Opening Ceremony replay on 9Now together.
Why we’re excited:
The Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics promises to be something special! A stunning Opening Ceremony showcasing Italy’s culture, history, fashion and alpine landscapes. Athletes from all over the world competing in iconic winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, bobsleigh and curling. A celebration of teamwork, resilience, diversity and global connection = values we love to celebrate together.
Expect drama, colour, music, flags, and those goosebump-worthy moments as the athletes parade into the stadium.

🧣 Dress-up (optional but encouraged!)
eg. Wear winter colours, your favourite country’s colours, or something “Olympic-inspired”... Scarves, beanies, flags and face paint welcome!
To keep things interactive and inclusive, we’ll have some easy, low-pressure Olympic-themed GAMES:
- Olympic Trivia
Fun facts about winter sports, countries, mascots and past Olympic moments( Bonus points if Brendan’s on your team!)
- “Guess the Sport”
Watch short clips or see photos and guess which winter sport it is
- Medal Tally Guess
Before watching, guess which country will top the medal table. Closest guess wins a small prize.
- Opening Ceremony Bingo
Bingo cards with things like: fireworks, flag parade, traditional costume, athlete dancing, dramatic music.
- Mini Office Challenges like: Paper snowball toss into a bucket, balance challenge (stand on one foot like a figure skater!), timed puzzle or teamwork challenge inspired by “Olympic teamwork”.
This is a relaxed, social way to come together, celebrate a global event, and share some laughs with no sporting ability required.
