What truly sets The Session Band apart is the pedigree of its players. Each member is individually recognised as one of the finest musicians in Australia, with decades of experience in touring, recording, teaching, television, radio, and performing alongside some of the biggest names in the world.
The Musicians:
Peter Uppman – Trumpet, Flugelhorn & Vocals
A multi-award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter and entertainer. Peter’s combination of dazzling musicianship, warm humour and effortless audience rapport makes him an unforgettable frontman.
Russell Bayne – Guitar
One of Australia’s most versatile and in-demand guitarists. Russell has worked with an astonishing breadth of artists including Chuck Berry, Jerry Lewis, Shirley Bassey, The Monkees, Luciano Pavarotti, Kiri Te Kanawa, Bon Scott (AC/DC), James Morrison and more.
Jo Bloomfield – Piano & Keyboard Bass
A highly skilled and sought-after pianist, Jo has performed with numerous internationally acclaimed artists. Her dual mastery of piano and keyboard bass gives the band a remarkably rich and flexible sound.
Pat Robbins – Drums & Vocals
An experienced musician, vocalist and respected vocal coach, Pat has toured and recorded with John Farnham, Normie Rowe, John Rowles, Debbie Byrne, Wickety Wak, Mirusia and many others. His rhythmic drive and expressive vocals are central to the band’s feel.
Joining The Session Band for this special performance is the extraordinary Domenico Taraborrelli, one of Brisbane’s most experienced and versatile multicultural cabaret entertainers. Bringing his talents on accordion and vocals, Domenico commands an enormous repertoire of world music—Jazz, Latin, Ballroom, Background, Rock & Pop and much more—appealing to audiences of all tastes.
Renowned for his dynamic vocal ability and masterful accordion playing, Domenico fuses traditional musicianship with cutting-edge electronic MIDI technology, producing a rich, modern and world-class sound. With a unique blend of worldwide cultures and influences, Domenico delivers everything from classical selections and smooth 40s–50s jazz to passionate Italian and Spanish favourites, fiery South American rhythms, and iconic pop and rock classics from every era.
