On a mild March day, take soil in your hand,
Squeeze, then release—let its secret be planned.
If it crumbles, not dripping, the timing is right
To ready your beds for spring’s early delight.
We’ll cover the soil, the weeds, seeds to start,
Cool-season plants playing spring’s opening part.
We’ll scout for small bugs as they wake from their rest
And answer your questions to help gardens grow best.
