You do not need to be a member to take part in the convention.Inspired by the magic that happens when women come together to drum, Melonie was drawn to bring people together all in the name of drumming! This happened in 2023 and was the most magical day. People asked for more and more time to do it in,so in 2024 we held a 2 day event with late night Saturday Entertainment and in 2025...2026 is going to be even better with the whole veue to ourselves throughout the entire weekend! You can expect:A programme of talks, performances and workshops to get your inner beat moving and spark your curiosity (all included in the ticket price)Stalls sharing their wares (at the beginning and end, in-between talks and workshops and during breaks)2 Kitchens selling food and drinks for lunch and snacksAn option for dinner on saturday nightBands!An attendance of likeminded women all into or interested in drummingA raffle with awesome prizes!!The GOLDEN BEATER AWARDS with prizes!A weekend full of fun and connection!and More!The 2025 line up included a massive drum circle, Singing with Sisters, Alessandra Belloni, Kat Shaw, Car Dia, Morris Dancing and Circle dancing, and Drum Alchemy workshops, Talks on drumming for women's life transistions, and Talks on making things from hide, talks on hoifbeats on the land, drum, dance and chant workshop, Drum and crystal bowl bath, rattle making and antler pendants and MORE! Your ticket cost entitles you to entry and access to all talks and WORKSHOPS and late night entertainment. You'll make a choice using the programme which will be sent out nearer the time as to which you wish to attend. The raffle and kitchens incur additional costs.Depending on full weekend ticket sales - day tickets may become available mid 2026 but in 2025 all weekend tickets sold out 3 months before the event.There is a large car park at the venue and it is 10 mins walk from Marks Tey train station which has direct links to and from London, Colchester and more. Lots of women are came and stayed over nearby the Delta by Marriot Hotel is 5mins away by car and recommended, also if you need a buddy to stay with just email web@thedrumwoman.com and we can put out a call!By attending you will also benefit from a discounted rate to join the Association of Women Drummers, Makers and Players if you sign up on the day! Members recieve £10 off of the ticket price for this event.
