It is a cherished tradition at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church–Markham to celebrate Christmas Eve with the festive service of Nine Lessons and Carols, followed by Communion by intinction. Members of the congregation will read nine Scripture lessons, and the congregation and choir will join together in singing favourite Christmas carols.

In a season filled with noise and hurry, this simple, candlelit service offers a chance to breathe, listen, and be gathered again around the story at the heart of Christmas. The familiar carols, spoken scriptures, and shared communion create a quiet space where hope feels near as we're reminded of the meaning of the season.
