Wednesday 24th June.

Our first stop of the day will be in Market Drayton for a potter round a charming rural market town and maybe buy yourself a cup of coffee before we head to our main visit of the day Hodnet Gardens

The Hodnet Gardens will be a kaleidoscope of wonderful colour, scents and buzzing with bees in the herbaceous borders.  The trees will look magnificent in the 60 acres of gardens and parkland.  You have the opportunity stroll along woodland walks and along beside the daisy chain of pools and lakes, home to abundant wildlife. Explore the kitchen garden and the circular garden whilst there, discovering the 17th century dovecote and tithe barn.

Excellent tearoom too!

I am hoping one of the gardening staff will be available to give us a guided tour of parts of the garden but this will depend on staff availablility so I will let you know as soon as I can. There will be an extra small charge for this about £3.

Cost £26  this includes the coach travel, driver's tip and entry into Hodnet Gardens.
