We strive to encourage a love of the outdoors, connections to nature, others, and ourselves, through shared appreciation for our natural environment.Calling all birders and aspiring birders! Let's get outside and enjoy the warmer weather together and be on the lookout for our feathery friends. Binoculars will be provided.A MN State Parks vehicle permit is required to park at this location. For more information please visit this link.Meet your Wild Wanderers hiking team! Each hike will be lead by one, or more, of our dedicated staff:Wendy has been with Wild Rivers Conservancy since 2021 as the Community Engagement Manager and has over two decades of experience in environmental education. She served as a hiking guide and regional leader with She Ascends Hiking and Wellness for five years.Owen has been planning and leading events as the Outdoor Program Coordinator at the Conservancy since 2024. Previously he has worked as an outdoor guide leading canoe and backpacking expeditions throughout North America, and as an adaptive ski instructor in the mountains of Colorado. He is a certified Wilderness First Responder and trained in risk management for a multitude of outdoor settings.October is the Conservancy's Outdoor Program Specialist and an avid outdoorsman throughout the midwest. He has been kayaking and fishing since his youth, and adventured up and down the coast from Washington to Alaska.
