Intro to Yoga Workshop
Emerald Green Gardens Presents:  Yoga on the Porch
Have you ever been curious about yoga? What is it? Could I do it? Would it be good for me? Well stop wondering and immerse yourself in this beautiful, ancient art during a 2 ½ -hour workshop: Come into the flow. In this beautiful farm setting, explore the history and philosophies of yoga, its benefits, how to stay safe during practice, and learn common yoga poses. All this is topped off with a simple yoga practice incorporating what you’ve learned and ending in delicious relaxation and meditation. There will be lots of informal Q&A, fun, and the opportunity to meet new friends who share your interest and a tour of the farm. 
When:  Sunday June 29th 1-4 PM at Emerald Green Gardens, 2214 Coon Hill Rd., Skaneatles, NY
What you’ll need: Loose, cool clothing, a yoga mat, water bottle, and spirit of adventure

Colleen Robinson Bio
200 RYT, Reiki Master, Certifications: Yoga for Healthy Aging and Restorative Yoga 
Additional studies in Aruyvedic Yoga and Pranyamic breath work. 

Colleen came to yoga with a diverse background in fitness and has been teaching group exercise for more than 35 years.  She came to yoga on a dare to take a class from a yoga teacher friend and fell in love with the complete relaxation and stillness she experienced in Savasana. Eventually she stopped teaching other fitness modalities and never looked back believing that yoga offers a complete wellness package from a physical, emotional, and spiritual perspective. Colleen began teaching yoga in 2007 and since has offered a variety of yoga styles and classes at several local studios. She especially loves to work with new yoga students to help them incorporate the benefits of yoga in their daily lives. Her teaching is marked by compassion which to her translates into meeting students where they are and truly understanding any special needs they may have. She always tells her students that their bodies can change on any given day and that experienced yogis adapt their practice to meet those specific needs.
