Hkrati razkriva politične, ekonomske in prostorske mehanizme, ki ohranjajo avtomobilsko usmerjen način življenja in zavirajo prehod v bolj trajnostne oblike mobilnosti.

Projekciji filma bo sledil pogovor z režiserjem ter predstavitev nove številke revije ab, ki tematizira prostor kot družbeno, kulturno in politično vprašanje.

Space for Space: documentary The Automotive Human and presentation of ab magazine

The event Space for Space combines a screening of the documentary film The Automotive Human and a presentation of the new issue of ab – arhitektov bilten magazine, which focuses on issues of space, living, and the future of cities.

The documentary film by urban planner and director Dr. Reinhard Seiss is a penetrating call for a thorough rethinking of contemporary transport and spatial policies. Using numerous examples of good practices from German-speaking countries, the film shows that cities and society can function with significantly less car traffic. At the same time, it reveals the political, economic, and spatial mechanisms that perpetuate a car-oriented way of life and hinder the transition to more sustainable forms of mobility.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director and a presentation of the new issue of ab magazine, which focuses on space as a social, cultural, and political issue.
