The Margaret River Trail Running Club in conjunction with Margaret River Trail Co will be hosting some FREE training runs along sections of the Margaret River Ultra Marathon course on Friday 20 March, Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March. These sessions are open to all runners to attend β whether you are running the 80km race, 42km or in a team.
The aim of the weekend is to provide all attendees with detailed knowledge of the course, terrain, race day prep etc from a group of runners that live and breathe running on the Cape to Cape - all questions welcome! Runners can come to one or all sessions β up to you! This training weekend has the full support of Rapid Ascent (who organise the race) but is being conducted by the local Margaret River Running crew.
The runs will be non-competitive, group runs with everyone running at their own pace but safe in the knowledge that there are other runners gathering to do the same thing at the same time. It is a great way meet others training for the event, meet a few locals and get in some great race specific training on the course before race day itself.
