Le Tourcoing Jazz inaugure sa première collaboration avec l’Espace Culturel Allende à l’occasion du Printemps du Jazz.

Saxophoniste, compositeur, figure incontournable du jazz hexagonal, Julien Lourau incarne depuis plus de 30 ans une liberté artistique rare. Pionnier des croisements entre jazz, électro et musiques de club, il s’impose dès les années 90 avec Trash Corporation puis le mythique Groove Gang, avant de collaborer avec Abbey Lincoln, Charlie Haden, Henri Texier ou Bojan Z.

Pour ce concert exceptionnel, il présente The Rise, album culte et profondément personnel : un retour à l’acoustique, à la force expressive du saxophone ténor, et un hommage à son père. Entre lyrisme, rythmes latino et souffle poétique, Julien Lourau propose une musique lumineuse, sincère et intensément vivante.
