Pony Club Badge Session – Ponies’ Teeth

Join us for our first Pony Club Workshop of the new year – all about ponies’ teeth!
This 2-hour, hands-on learning session is part of our Pony Club Achievement Badge series and helps young riders understand how ponies eat, chew, and care for their teeth throughout their lives.
During this session, riders will learn:
🐴 How ponies use their lips to gather grass and hay
🌿 The difference between the two main types of teeth – incisors and molars
🍎 What each type of tooth does (biting vs. grinding)
🦷 The difference between baby and adult teeth
📈 How ponies’ teeth continue to erupt throughout their life
🪞 Why ponies should have their teeth checked regularly by an equine dental technician or vet
We’ll use fun demonstrations, practical learning, and discussion to make this an engaging and educational morning for all participants.
Badges:
Pony Club members can purchase the official Ponies’ Teeth Badge for £5 to celebrate their learning and add to their collection.
Who can attend:
Open to both Pony Club members and non-members (only members can receive the official badge).
Suitable for ages 6 years and up.
All experience levels are welcome – we tailor activities to suit the group.

Suitable footwear and clothing for being around ponies
Drink and snack for break time
