- **Event Description**: Start at #MarbleheadCycle or one of our other particpating shops; #HabaneroBikes in Salem, #CentralCycle in Beverly, #MunroeVelo in Topsfield, #RiversideCycle in Manchester by the Sea and #RiversideCycle in Newburyport.  Bring a bag and some cash and ride to a local market. Purchase some non-perishables and bring them back to the shop to donate. Then head to the next shop. When you drop off your food make sure you get it weighed and your punch card stamped. For a chance to win a prize.

The shop that collects the most food to donate gets bragging rights.

One route could go like this. Start at Marblehead Cycle, ride to Shubie's then back to Marblehead Cycle. Head over to Crosby's in Salem and then to Habanero Bikes, then head to Steve's Market before heading to Centraal Cycle. From Centraal head to Stop and Shop on your way to Riverside Cycle in Manchester by the Sea, from there head to Crosby's then Riverside Cycle in Newburyport. Next is the Natural Grocer before heading to Munroe Velo in Topsfield. Now you are ready to head home. Make sure you get your punch card stamped at each bike shop. You can start and stop at which ever shop you want. Do 1, 2, 3, or all of them. Just make sure you are riding a bike or ebike and donating food to the cause.

#Cranksgiving is a national movement. Part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt, it has been held annually in New York City since 1999. 

#MarbleheadCycle decided to make a bigger impact by asking some of the other local bicycle shops to participate. 

Bring a bike, a bag, a lock, and about $15-$20 to buy food. All of the food collected at grocery stores benefits our local charities.

We hope this becomes an annual event.

It’s free to register, but you’ll need cash to buy food at the grocery stores. $10-$20 should suffice.
