# Event Details - **Event Name**: Spring Epic Ride - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 18 Apr, 2026 at 08:00 am (-05:00) - **Event Description**: 115 Miles of some of the best roads in the hill country. This will not be an easy ride but, if you have the legs, it will be amazing. The Route SAG Vehicle: We will have a vehicle linking up with us throughout the route because from mile 32-108 we will not encounter a single store. Bring a SAG bag with the carbs and what not that you will need. You can also stock up at our store stop at mile 32. Marble Falls to Burnet: Starting in Marble Falls we will get right onto one of the best roads in the area; Mormon Mill. This is a rolling farm road with a lot of changes in the pavement so stay alert and don't get too distracted by the spring flowers. Burnet to store stop in Kingsland (Mile ~32): Three words - PARK ROAD FOUR. A road so special it has its own Wikipedia page. After bombing the descent we will work to keep the group together all the way to Kingsland. Kingsland Through Althaus-Davis: Leaving Kingsland we have a shallow, steady, climb on a somewhat busy road so we will keep the group together through here. CR 310 is where the party really starts. The group will likely split for the next ~20 miles so ride at your own pace. Strava still shows this as unpaved which is false. It was paved in 2023. Watch for potentially wet low water crossings and cattle guards. There is a small stretch of Lynn Hardin that is dirt but not enough to be worried about. Road tires are just fine. Then we hit Althaus-Davis which is a bit wider road with a fairly new chip seal. Watch for cattle on the road. We will regroup at RR 1323 and the SAG vehicle will be there for refueling. Althaus-Davis to Cypress Mill: We will keep the group together through this stretch as the road is ideal for a group to carry speed. The SAG vehicle will be available at Cypress Mill. Cypress Mill to Spicewood: Rest your legs on Cypress Mill because there is no easy way to get through Old Spicewood. It is rough, winding, and never flat but it is always awesome. Watch for cattle and cattle guards. The group will split through here and regroup near 71 where the SAG vehicle will be. Spicewood to Marble Falls: Smooth roads and shade... right on time. This stretch can be fast if the wind is from the south. fingers crossed. It's the home stretch with some rollers to get over. After we cross 281 we will have a downhill run to an apartment complex cut through to 2147 then back to 281 and into Marble Falls. We will have stretches where we will work to keep the group together and some sections where we will let the dogs loose. Due to the length of the ride, and the fact that most of the route is nowhere near a store we have to keep moving. * What's the pace? The last time we did this route riders finished with average speed around 19mph. * Is there a shorter version? You can bailout after we leave Kingsland and head back toward Marble Falls via 71.
